Diverse City Hires New CEO!

Diverse City LLC, a diversity, equity, and inclusion consulting firm, has hired Dr. John Maduko as its new Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Maduko, is scholar and academic leader, DEI advocate and educator, cultural intelligence practitioner, and entrepreneur. As a first-generation Nigerian-American, John’s career has been centered around the advocacy and equitable-outcomes for marginalized and underserved individuals, organizations, and communities. Domestically and internationally, he has supported medical and educational relief efforts. He has presented nationally and regionally on innovation implementation practices and strategic planning and consults for HealthTech and EdTech organizations. His leadership philosophy is applied through a servant leader’s lens where inclusive practices, championing the advancement of those seeking to fulfill their success story, and valuing the diversity of individuals who make up organizational and global communities fuel his contributions.

Before joining Diverse City, John served in various administrative and scholarly capacities at two and four-year institutions as faculty, department chair, academic dean, Title-IX officer, and vice chancellor. He attended California State Polytechnic University Pomona where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine. He is an Aspen Fellow, a fellow of the Thomas Lakin Institute for Mentored Leadership, and serves as a volunteer board member for various leadership development groups.

The previous CEO, Dr. Cheryl Ingram, will move into the role of President of DAIPE, her new holding company which oversees Diverse City as well as other companies. Dr. CI will transition into her new startup venture Inclusology, where she will take on the role of fulltime CEO.
